We are attempting to accumulate our experience with multiples
over the past 10-15 years. Retrieving this information is somewhat
dependent on the cooperation of our patients. We feel sure the
following is incomplete in describing our total experience. If
you are a previous patient with multiples, please call us.
This practice accepts referrals from physicians
only, making it quite possible that our outcomes are biased by
referral of patients more likely to deliver earlier in gestation
(for example tall multiparous patients are more likely to carry
to later gestation than short primigravidas).
So far, we have information on 140 sets of triplets we have seen.
Nineteen were seen for consultation only. Fifteen reduced to twins
or less, spontaneously or planned, at less than 20 weeks. Five
are currently still pregnant. Of the 101 who have delivered under
our care, gestation at delivery is tabulated as follows:
