James Sumners, MD
|
|
James E. Sumners, MD received his Doctorate in Medicine from the University
of Tennessee before completing a surgical internship at Ohio State
University. Dr. Sumners did his residency in Pediatrics at St. Jude Children’s
Research Hospital in Memphis, and in Obstetrics and Gynecology
at University of Illinois Medical Center in Chicago. His fellowship
in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine was at the University of Alabama
in Birmingham and in Maternal-Fetal Medicine was at Indiana University
School of Medicine in Indianapolis. Dr. Sumners is board certified
in pediatrics, neonatal-perinatal medicine, obstetrics and gynecology,
and maternal-fetal medicine. He has held faculty appointments
at the University of Alabama in Birmingham, the Medical College
of Wisconsin, the University of Illinois, and Indiana University.
